Tokyo Police Club formed in Newmarket, Ontario in 2005 and quickly placed themselves on the indie/modern rock map with their EP A Lesson in Crime. Since then, they’ve played major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury. Not bad for a band that hasn’t even released a full-length album yet. Currently, they’re on tour and gearing up for the release of their debut album Elephant Shell on April 22. Here is a track from the album:
