Music of the Moment: Dave Dobbyn

Dave Dobbyn is a household name in New Zealand. He started out with Th’ Dudes in the late 1970’s, then moved on to DD Smash and finally ended up as a solo artist. I saw him live at the Mangawhai Tavern in 2006 and will be seeing him again in a few days at the Villa Maria Winery. My favorite track is Welcome Home, off of his 2005 album Available Light. Listening to it, I can’t help thinking of my wife and how far away she is from home:
