Harry Gesner's Eagle's Nest House

While driving through Malibu recently I managed to catch a glimpse of the Eagle’s Nest House high atop La Costa. Designed by Harry Gessner, it was originally built in 1955 but had to be rebuilt after the 1993 Malibu fires. Although it isn’t my taste in architecture, it makes a striking form as you approach from the south and is a great example of Mr. Gessner’s work. If you’re interested, Vanity Fair has a short feature on him. Photo by sthatch27.
